YOUTH DETAINED AFTER DRUG FIND

Last night, a 19-year old male youth from Naxxar was detained during an Armed Forces of Malta vehicle check-point (VCP) in Birkirkara, after he was found in possession of powdered cannabis resin. Soldiers from 1st Regiment's 'B' Company were conducting routine VCPs in the area when they detained the youth, who was a passenger travelling in a car with another three (3) individuals, all from Naxxar. Officers from the Birkirkara Police are conducting further investigations.
